Phyllis found her final peace at 4:10 p.m. on Wednesday, January 2, 2008 with Debbie, Peter and Siggi, Jack and Peggy, Julianne the hospice nurse, and Jennie the hospice aide, surrounding her. I just returned from visiting our 88 year old aunt in St. Anne’s Home for the Elderly and here begins the story…… Aunt Phyllis’ husband, Uncle Roy died about 5 years ago, and on his deathbed expressed to my husband and me: “I am worried about Phyllis….who will take care of her?” As [...]
Test of Faith

My faith is being tested today as we took our 88 year old aunt from rehab (after serious surgery) back to her apartment in assisted living at St. Anne’s. The walking back nearly did her in and she was not feeling well and in bed when we left her. A big change for [...]
